Scoreboard is an initiative that will involve the selection of a local artist from within the Dubbo Regional Council Local Government Area. The artist will be required to work with a community group within that area to develop and create an artwork, which will be installed at the entrance of the Western Plains Cultural Centre for 12 months.
It aims to provide a creative means of social connection, inspiration, mental health improvement or the accompaniment to social outreach within the Dubbo region. An artist will be selected via a panel through an expression of interest process.
This initiative of the Dubbo Regional Council Cultural Development Team provides the local artistic community with another avenue to expand their artistic practices and connections; through prominent visibility of their work at the WPCC and working with a local community group who can engage in creative works aligned with their organisational goals.
The artist will be paid a fee to collaborate with a community organisation, develop an artwork, engage in workshops with the community group, and complete the artwork for delivery and installation in May 2026.
EOI Closes: 16 January 2026.
Selection of the artist will occur in February 2026.
The artist will be notified of their acceptance by 20 February 2026.
