In August 2021 the Western Plains Cultural Centre will be opening our Gallery space for independent and emerging visual artists, designers and creatives to sell their work. 

 

For 3 days you can belong to a community of creatives who are seeking new ways to engage with audiences and network within the regional scene.

EXHIBITION SPACE

OPENING NIGHT

AN EXHIBITION BOOTH INCLUDES:

  • 2m x 2m in size: Booth allocation will be based on the number of applicants and the number of spaces available and booth size may be able to be increased. A confirmation of each booth size will be included upon acceptance of registration. The default will be one booth per person.

  • A clearly defined space with one wall to hang on.

  • Advice from staff on display and setup.

  • Standard vinyl signage on wall with artist name and contact details.

AS AN EXHIBITOR YOU WILL:

  • Handle all cash, payments and commissions that take place at the event. 

  • Have made considerations and preparations for any additional display elements (such as furniture, lighting, electrical outlets, walls), staffing / manning, insurance for artwork, shipping and freight. 

  • Be responsible for the bump in and out of your booth.

  • Staff the stall for the opening event and during the opening hours of the DAF weekend.

DUBBO ART FAIR WILL SUPPORT EXHIBITORS WITH:

  • Advice on any display elements, leading into bump in.

  • Have on site standard signage with artist name and contact details.

  • Provide an online listing within the WPCC website.

  • Digital assets to promote exhibitors at the DAF.

  • Live music and entertainment across the DAF weekend. 

DUBBO ART FAIR WILL:

  • Promote the fair across print and digital platforms for industry, audience and business engagement and support.

  • Be available at bump in for direction and help*.

  • Host an opening event, inclusive of entertainment, food and drinks. The event will be ticketed to cover costs. Artists are free.

There is no cost to hold a booth,

DAF is designed to support the creative sector and

stimulate the wider creative industries.

* DAF will not be responsible for the installation of any works and all installation requirements must be arranged and facilitated by the booth holder.

As in exhibitor you gain exclusive tickets to the opening night. Here you will have the opportunity to invite friends, family and clients to a unique and vibrant night of  food, drinks and creatives.

DAF will also be inviting the business community and creatives within the sector so you have an opportunity to network and connect with new audiences.

MUSICIAN CALL OUT!

 

If you are a musician, singer/songwriter looking to be involved in this weekend event we have up to 5 slots available.  Artists will be paid per hour and slots are between 1.5 & 2 hrs in length.

FRIDAY 6TH AUGUST

6pm - 8pm

SATURDAY 7TH & SUNDAY 8TH AUGUST

10:30am - 12pm  

and

1pm - 3:30pm

Acts will be booked to ensure a range of opportunities for the public to hear a diversity of performers and to support emerging musicians. Links to online social media profiles are encouraged.
