Calling all Young Waste Warriors and Mini Recycling Champs!
Sponsored by NetWaste and SimsMetal, Dubbo Regional Council is excited to bring to the Western Plains Cultural Centre artist Jaq Davies who will lead kids aged 5-14 in a free workshop using materials to create sustainable artworks inspired by the Regional Waste 2 Art Exhibition theme: Toys.
Orange based Jaq Davies is a multidisciplinary artist who uses a wide range of materials to create artworks, from the traditional, paint, graphite, charcoal, to less traditional, feathers, hair, thorns, daisy chains, toffee, sticks and glass. She has previously run ‘Toy Sculpture’ workshops in Orange and Parkes with a firsthand understanding of the Waste 2 Art ethos, and practical knowledge of creating wonderful artworks out of recycled materials.
