Join us for the next film in our lineup of the 2026 Season of Smokescreen at the WPCC on Saturday, 13th June. This year’s theme is 'Breaking the Reel'. The selected films celebrates the transformative power of actors and directors who defy expectations, break free from typecasting, and reinvent themselves in groundbreaking ways.


This year’s Smokescreen will feature connected pairings of films, which highlight a specific transformative aspect of ‘Breaking the Reel’. This week’s film focuses on Sudden Shifts; where actors or actresses go from one genre and acting range to a completely different style in a single film.
