Join us for the Premiere for the 2026 Season of Smokescreen at the WPCC Saturday, 11th April. This year’s theme is 'Breaking the Reel'. The selected films celebrates the transformative power of actors and directors who defy expectations, break free from typecasting, and reinvent themselves in groundbreaking ways.
This year’s Smokescreen will feature connected pairings of films, which highlight a specific transformative aspect of ‘Breaking the Reel’. The next two films in our lineup focuses on Directorial Diversions, highlighting directors who challenged pre-concieved ideas and took bold creative risks.
