SMOKESCREEN | Double Feature: La Jetee & A Scanner Darkly
DOUBLE FEATURE: La Jetee is a story of a man forced to explore his memories in the wake of World War III's devastation, told through still images. A Scanner Darkly is about an undercover cop in the future becoming involved with a dangerous new drug and begins to lose his own identity.

Taking place in the Drama Room at the WPCC, Smokescreen brings Dubbo residents the opportunity to witness iconic and influential films from the history of cinema.
The theme for Smokescreen 2025 is 'The Unexpected'.
Each film takes a familiar characterisation, scene or trope from the science fiction universe and diverts expectations. From groundbreaking new ideas in portraying space and time, to film settings and cinematography that redefined how audiences experienced a genre that is often only thought of as ‘those Star films’.
