Recognised by National Touring bodies our exhibition space delivers diverse and contemporary touring shows alongside grass root regional artists, while permanently displaying pieces from our collection which focuses on the Animal In Art. Then step into the People, Places & Stories museum exhibition sharing our local history by objects and accounts that shaped our region. Exhibitions at the centre are diverse to captivate all audiences.


Events
Events at the centre are programmed to deliver our audiences with diverse cultural experiences. Immerse yourself in talks of art and culture, watch films based off a playwright or enjoy our opening events where Artists present their ideas and speak to the inspiration behind their exhibitions. Audiences can get hands on with our drama, school holiday and creative art programs thoughout the year.
Local Studies Research Room
This collection developed over many years charts the history of our region and its people. The Local History Room is open to the public between 10am – 1pm Tuesdays to Thursdays and appointments are preferred. Parking
There are a number of disabled car parking spaces located in the carpark and the facility is fully accessible by wheelchair. Visitors can also use the courtesy wheelchair to explore the exhibitions and museum. Accessible toilets are available.
Audio Descriptions
The WPCC plays host to a kaleidoscope of rotating exhibitions and some of these have accessible features built in like audio descriptions. Get in contact with our staff to discuss upcoming exhibitions to see what accommodations are available.
Assistance Dogs
The Cultural Centre Gallery and Museum welcome certified Assistance Dogs on-site.
