The heart of culture in the central west, the Western Plains Cultural Centre includes a Gallery, Museum and Community Art Centre. Presenting cutting edge exhibitions and programs, the Western Plains Cultural Centre aims, to challenge, connect and reflect our community and share the culture of Western NSW with our visitors.

We invite you to saunter through the 3 distinct spaces within our Gallery, the visual art permanent collection – animal in art; featuring a variety of mediums and styles, the collection features engaging and provocative works from some of Australia’s best contemporary artists. Our HomeGround for emerging regional visual artists or the Curated Gallery for large scale touring exhibitions.

This is the history of Dubbo told through the people who live here. Stories of hardship, perseverance, ingenuity, tragedy and joy. A permanent exhibition that can be viewed throughout the year, and incorporated into any tour or educational group.

COMMUNITY ARTS CENTRE

This is the home for all our cultural programming.  Our Black Box Theatre supports youth theatre programs and film events, while immersive educational opportunities are available across a range of topics relating to the WPCC's collections and exhibitions, and sites of special historical and cultural interest around Dubbo.
